Chris Fields - President, General Contractor
With more than 20 years experience in the industry, Chris is an accomplished residential and commercial contractor. In the traditional crafts and trades approach to learning his craft, Chris began his career literally with the foundation. His initial training was in concrete and masonry work, followed by continued growth in commercial construction. He found his passion when he focused his skills in the residential building trade. Recently, Chris became a certified Green Builder, recognizing the importance of this emerging construction trend. From the Carolina coast to the Blue Ridge Mountains, Chris Fields has established himself as on e of North Carolina’s premier builders.
Dr. Jack N. Drummond – Vice-President, Secretary/Treasurer
After a successful medical career in Wayne County, North Carolina, Dr. Drummond expanded his interest in people and place by joining forces with Chris Fields in the establishment of Mountain West Builders, Inc. His creative spirit and passion for engineering culminated in some of the most beautiful homes that the North Carolina High Country has ever seen. As he states himself, “I enjoy seeing something that I’m creating evolve into a work of art”.
Even though he still is a medical consultant for the state of North Carolina, Dr. Drummond remains an active partner in Mountain West Builders.

You’ve heard the expression’ “Behind every successful … there is Stacy Maye! As a successful business manager and an ardent admirer of interior design, Stacy has brought both her organizational and design skills to Mountain West Builders. Assisting Chris in developing projects, Stacy has become the “point person” for the company. To her, the relationship with the client is of utmost importance, realizing that home building is as much about the people involved as the process needed to complete the project.
Stacy continues her passion for construction through her tireless work with Habitat for Humanity, building the local affiliate from the ground up!
